Pastoral care lead

Role Spec: Pastoral care lead:

  • Develop, oversee, and enable the St B’s pastoral care in line with Vision 2030, which will include:

    • Support for those who are lonely, vulnerable, in need

    • Working in partnership with the Community Grocery and other ministries

    • Signpost those in need towards church ministries and outside agencies

    • Raise up, support and release our pastor

  • Explore development of a ‘freedom’ course with view to summer pilot

  • Develop the mentoring of women

  • Possible supervision of staff members

  • An interest in safeguarding

  • Attend staff meetings on Tuesdays and associated meeting

Person Spec:

  • Pastoral gifting

  • Mature faith in Christ and committed member of St B’s

  • Wide experience of working with and building teams in leadership role

  • Experience of running ‘Freedom Course’ Able to align with the vision for St B’s.

  • DBS & Safeguarding Leadership level will be required 

Other info:

  • Appropriate training will be provided

  • The role is voluntary, taking 8-10 hours per week.

  • Will be supervised by member of clergy
