Henry Kendal - Vicar                   

As Vicar of St Barnabas, Henry holds the overall responsibility for the leadership of the church. Having had a background in the property business, he got involved in planting and subsequently leading a church in Harrow. From there Henry moved to St Bs over fifteen years ago. Somewhere along the way he was ordained in the Church of England having studied variously at London Bible College (now London School of Theology), Oak Hill College and North Thames Ministerial Training College.

Henry is a regular speaker at New Wine and in many places around the world. His book “The Wind Blows Wherever it Pleases” has been well received and many have been hugely helped on their spiritual walk through it. He has a passion for seeing the church become an effective vehicle for transformation for both the individual and society at large, as well as having a heart for world missions. Henry is married to Jane and they have three grown up children. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, walking in the country, riding his quad bike and playing real tennis.             


Colin Brookes - Associate Vicar 


As Associate Vicar, Colin assists Henry in the overall leadership of the church. He serves as line manager to most of the staff ministry leaders and offers leadership in whichever area Henry asks him to!
Colin became a Christian at the age of 16, but it wasn’t until he was 25, working at Soul Survivor, that the Lord really “got hold” of him. He studied theology at London School of Theology and Ridley Hall Cambridge. His primary gifts are teaching and prophecy.
He is a passionate worshipper (watch out if you’re standing next to him on the front row!) and ardent intercessor. Colin’s life vision is to see people become more whole in Jesus. Colin is married to Natalie. They have three school-aged children. An enthusiastic musician, people often say that as a singer Colin makes a really good drummer…

Margaret Peach – Henry Kendal's Assistant

Margaret’s role is to provide administrative support for Henry. Managing Henry’s diary, being responsible for the smooth running of Sunday services, providing administration for a range of groups and committees and working in a dynamic visionary team, Margaret believes she has the most varied and best job going.

Margaret has a background in administration, having previously organised environmentalists, musicians and museums. She loves spending time with family and friends and travelling the world.

Caroline provides support to the mission partners across the world and those considering mission, short-term or long-term. 


Andy Y

Andy Yeates - Music Director

Andy oversees and develops every aspect of sung worship and other music at St Bs and its satellite churches, ensuring high standards in both spiritual and musical terms.



Ryan Venn-Dunn - Young Adults Pastor

Ryan leads the Young Adults ministry for 18-30 year olds and helps oversee youthwork for 11-18s.

David web

David Brown – Discipleship Pastor

As Discipleship Pastor, David oversees our network of Missional Communities, and directs many of our training programmes.

 Before joining the staff in 2007, David’s career included studying at London Bible College, Kings College London, and Roffey Park Institute, leading churches, lecturing in Bible Colleges, and being an Organisational Development consultant in the Civil Service. In David’s own words: “This is my dream job because I get to bring all my passion to see people grow and be equipped, and all my learning and experience, together in one role."
David is married to Anne, and together they enjoy spending time with their six grown up children and eight grand-children. Travel and photography are among the things which David would love to be able to find more time for.

Helen Shannon – Associate Minister, St Bs; Leader, church@five

Helen leads church@five, a church plant of St Bs, and has been part of the staff team since the 1990s. She previously headed up the Children’s Work Department, oversaw the children's work nationally for New Wine and was part of the team that founded Hope North London, a charity that St B's partners with.

Helen was ordained in July 2010. She is a regular speaker at New Wine events and is also a trustee and projects director for Hope North London. Helen and her family moved into a local estate in January 2008 so that they and their team could more effectively share Jesus’ love within their neighbourhood.

Mike Pavlou – Associate Minister, St Bs; Leader, Oakleigh

Mike is the Vicar of Oakleigh Community Church, a congregation of St Barnabas.

Peter TPeter Troup – Church Operations Manager

After a career in banking in finance, Peter served on the staff team of a large South London church for 20 years, overseeing operations. Having joined the St B’s staff team in 2017, Peter's responsibilities include Vision Implementation and oversight of the Support Team who together deliver the Finance, HR, Administration, Buildings and IT functions of the church. Peter is married to Gill, and they have one grown up daughter. 


Siming Hill – Finance and HR Administrator


Siming oversees all our book-keeping and day to day accounts, the Gift Aid giving scheme and also administers the HR.
Siming is currently on maternity leave and Maureen O'Sullivan is in post for the duration. You can email

Trevlyn Yeates – Church Administrator


Trevlyn works in the support department on a variety of administrative projects including weddings, events and safeguarding.

Bella Resize

Bella Mutevelian - Office Administrator


Bella works in the support team overseeing room bookings, supplies and a variety of administrative responsibilities. 

Rosie Hughes

Rosie Hughes - Finance Assistant

Rosie works as the Go & Grow administrator and finance assistant.


Dave Harvey – Facilities Coordinator


Dave manages the maintenance of our much-used buildings and facilities.

Elizabeth volunteers time to give much needed administrative support to Hope North London.
