The Facilities Team 🔨
We’re Looking for Volunteers to Join Our Facilities Team!
Do you enjoy fixing things, learning new skills, or just want to help keep the church building in great shape? We’re looking for both skilled and unskilled volunteers to join the Facilities Team at St Barnabas. Whether you’re handy with tools or just happy to help out, there’s a place for you from gardening, painting, and small repairs to fixing upholstery and many more

The Welcome Team 🙋
Can you make a cup of tea or coffee? Help point people in the right direction? Smile, greet and make people feel generally welcome at St Bs? Then we would love for you to join our Welcome Team at St Bs. It would involve serving once a month in one of our Sunday services at St Bs.

Operations 📃
Operations is a key ministry in the life of St Barnabas, including problem-solving, running systems, hands-on maintenance, accurate record-keeping, planning, organising, and keeping things on track.

Myriad Gathering team 🙋♂️
We’re looking for people to serve in our gatherings team: hosting and supporting the Friday (eve) and Saturday (daytime) that we spend together every 6 months as a learning community.
You would:

Be happy to welcome, host and provide hospitality to teams
-
Help setup and pack down the space before and after sessions.
-
Join in with our catering team to serve meals.
-
Pray with the team before and during the sessions that God might be working to release planting of new forms of worshipping communities.
Kids Teams 👩👧👦
Sunday kids teams
Do you have a heart to raise the next generation in faith? Do you want to serve in a team on Sunday mornings while having a lot of fun?! We are always looking for volunteers that are passionate as well as committed to serving at least once a month on Sundays.
Messy Church (Fri 5pm -7:30pm)
Do you want to reach out to families who don’t yet know Jesus? Do you enjoy building community and eating with people? We have two teams - the kitchen team who prepare a wonderful, simple meal and the team who lead activities for the families.
Refresh Teams (Parent & baby minstry)
Do you have a heart to serve new parents and share the joy of Jesus with them? Do you want to provide a loving space to nurture mums?

Roots (Youth) 🙋♀️
Sunday session leader
As a Roots Team Volunteer, you'll support and engage with young people during Sunday sessions, helping to lead activities, discussions, and provide a welcoming environment. The role requires a time commitment of twice a month on Sundays from 11:10 to 13:00
Quad leader
As a Quad leader, you'll help lead a small group of young people with a focus on supporting their prayer life and nurturing meaningful relationships. This role involves guiding discussions, fostering spiritual growth, and being a consistent! Time commitment - Fortnightly meeting via zoom with the group and engaging in a Quad WhatsApp group.
Tuesday night football
Do you love football? Do you love God??
As a part of the Roots football team, you'll create a fun, welcoming space where young people can connect, build friendships, and grow. The role encourages relationship building and provides an easy way for youth to invite their friends into a God focused community. Time commitment - Monthly (looking to increase to fortnightly) Tuesday night 18:00 – 17:00
Friday night club
This role is a great opportunity to be on the front line for the gospel! As a part of the Friday night team, you will help create a fun, safe, and welcoming space where young people can build strong relationships. We want to encourage YP to invite their friends, encouraging them to play their part as ambassadors for the Kingdom!! Time commitment – Monthly on a Friday night- 19:30 – 21:00
GaP 🙏
There are so many ways to serve, including:

Joining the GaP community

Prayer cover for the GaP ministry, Pioneers and local GaP expressions

Pastoral support to walk alongside those who are discerning a calling to serve the Lord across the gaps in other parts of the UK and World, as well as while they are serving and on return

Support with the running of GaP equipping events and GaP gatherings, online or in person – including hospitality, hosting, welcome etc.

Hosting and welcoming visiting Pioneers
