Mission Statement

Hope House North London exists to provide facilities and services to children and young people in the Borough of Barnet with the intention to cater for their social, educational physical, spiritual, emotional and general welfare needs.

Storm Youth Club
This is a youth club that runs on a Friday night for 11-14 year olds. The Club is a place where young people can belong and engage in activities including creative arts (drama, dance, music), sports and art. The Club is a great forum to build relationships with young people and promote their self-esteem.

Drop In Cafés
The Youth Centre opens on various afternoons in a Café format. This includes a food bar, Games consoles, pool and other activities. A time to chill with friends after a day at school or college. A friendly welcome for all who come along.

Fallowfield After School Club
Every day 15 children attend the After-School Club, with a waiting list of children wanting to come. There is a growing sense of the Club being a place of safety where children know they are valued and accepted in a way many rarely experience at home. 'I am a working mum with 3 children ... I wanted one of my children, who has special needs, to mix with children from mainstream schools - you gave me that opportunity'. (Letter from a parent). Through these sessions we have been able to build a sense of community with the families.

Duke of Edinburgh's Award
We are the Operating Authority for this internationally recognised award in the London Borough of Barnet and are eager to give every young person the opportunity to complete this personal challenge. We run an open award centre as well as liaising with local schools. A drop in Café for 11-18 year olds, that is often the first contact point with young people as they come to chill-out and play Dreamcast and pool with their friends. All of the facilities and games are free - it is an amazing environment to start building relationships.
